
Prizes for Schneider’s Best Employees for 2009 were awarded to four individuals and one team in recognition of their dedication and initiative over the past year. In a moving ceremony organized by the Human Resources Department, the Director’s Prize was awarded to Dr. Yoram Rosenbach, Deputy Director of the Institute of Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Liver Diseases. Citations were also presented to Ruti Earlboim, Michal Shir, and Esther Shmuelov, and the staff of medical equipment storage at Schneider.
Dr. Rosenbach, who has been with Schneider Children’s since its inception, has broad professional clinical knowledge and vision, as evidenced in his treatment of sick children. Dr. Rosenbach evaluates and treats children with digestive diseases who come from all over the country, and seeks the best treatment for their disorders. He provides services to the Emergency Medicine Unit (ER), professional consults to doctors and medical teams in the hospital and community physicians, and trains and lectures medical students. Noted for his warm interpersonal skills and the special relationship he has with staff members in the Institute, Dr. Rosenbach is always ready to assist them in any matter at any time of the day. He is a great source of knowledge and support, and deals patiently and professionally with patients’ questions and problems. In expressing his thanks, Dr. Rosenbach said that Schneider Children’s not just a place of work, but a source of pride and satisfaction.
In addition, citations were awarded to Ruti Earlboim, medical secretary in the Pulmonology and Genetics Institute, for her conscientiousness and diligence to the Institute; Michal Shir, nurse in Pediatrics B, for her sensitivity and compassion towards staff and patients; and Esther Shmuelov, deputy head nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, for her professionalism and her model example that she sets to the team in the department.
The team citation was awarded to staff in medical equipment storage at Schneider for their professionalism and efforts to improve internal services to hospital departments and units. They were also recognized for their courtesy shown to employees and vendors alike while providing an efficient and optimal response to requests.
Prof. Joseph Press, Director of Schneider Children’s, said at the ceremony, “The Best Employees have performed their tasks loyally with exemplary devotion, courtesy and modesty, and I am very moved and proud to present the prizes for the 2009 Best Employees to these deserving individuals.”
